Hi, I’m Levi.
I didn’t grow up trilingual — I became trilingual.
And that’s my advantage. I’m not your typical foreign language teacher.
I learned these languages the same way you are — starting from zero and figuring out what actually works.
I grew up in Texas surrounded by Spanish but never actually learned it. That changed in my 20s when I decided to go all in. I started from scratch, lived in Mexico, and earned a Master’s in Teaching Spanish from Northern Arizona University, moved to Mexico, and eventually married a Mexicana.
Since then, I’ve spent years teaching students, studying Brazilian Portuguese, and building a library of no-fluff courses, books, and audio programs to help real adults understand and speak Spanish and Portuguese with confidence.
No boring textbooks. No classroom fluff. Just real language for real life — taught by someone who’s been in your shoes.
My method is simple:
Cut the BS. Focus on listening, building vocabulary, and speaking — in a structured, efficient way that actually works.
From Frustrated Learner to Fluent Speaker
Like most people, I started out frustrated. Honestly, I was a terrible Spanish student in school.
Textbooks taught me conjugations — but not how to order tacos.
Classes gave me vocabulary lists — but not the confidence to actually talk to people.
So I did something different.
I started watching telenovelas, using technology, and eventually moved to Mexico to immerse myself in the language people actually speak — not the polished classroom version.
I learned Spanish from neighbors, from novelas, and from real conversations where I made mistakes, got corrected, and improved.
It wasn’t perfect — but it was real.
And that’s the exact no-B.S. approach I teach today.
My Mission
My mission is simple:
To help fellow gringos become confident Spanish and Portuguese speakers — ready for real conversations in Latin America.
I believe language learning should be practical, empowering, and actually fun — not boring, intimidating, or stuck in a classroom.
That’s why everything I create — courses, podcasts, coaching, and learning tools — focuses on the Spanish people actually speak in the real world.
